A few weeks ago I was contacted by a heartbroken mummy whose 3 year old daughter sadly passed away in June. Her birthday was coming up and she wanted something to mark the day, mainly for the other children. When I met with mum it was heartbreaking to see the pain in her eyes whilst talking about her precious little girl. But together we came up with the design for this cake. Maisie loved all things pink and sparkly. Although you cannot see clearly in the pictures the wings had enough sparkle for the most beautiful of angels. And the sponge inside was bright pink, Maisie’s favourite colour! Maisie would have been 4 years old today and her mummy cried when she saw the cake. What a very brave lady to carry on as she is for her other children.
