This is the cake which I made for my Dad’s birthday. He loves scrabble so I wanted to use scrabble puzzles to feature words about him but I wanted to avoid a ‘novelty cake’ as such.

All the cake decoration is edible (apart from the ribbon) and the scrabble tiles are hand-painted.The top tier was chocolate Guinness cake filled with vanilla buttercream and the bottom tier was white chocolate cake filled with white chocolate buttercream and raspberry preserve.

It took me almost as long to plan the puzzle layout as it did to create the cake ;)
