I was doing some experimenting with some new techniques this week, and one of the most important things about experimenting with new techniques is to reuse a cake if you can (Because after a while no one you know and see on a regular basis wants to see or eat cake). So I souped up this wafer paper cake that had a cake jewel border on the bottom tier from earlier in the week that I had done.
I removed the jewel band and painted the tier a light pale green and added some gold highlighter dust in spots. Then I made a sweet mold from some fancy looking keyholes I picked up and made a key from a few different parts of the Baroque Wilton fondant mold. Both are dusted with gold highlighter dust.
I also made some wafer paper feathers and attached them in the back. The pearl borders are large dragees.
