Another cake to cross off my caking bucket list! A purple handbag cake to celebrate a 40th birthday.

This cake was TRICKY but it all came together (phew!). I think the edible glaze really brings it to life. It’s the first time I’ve tried to paint a wood effect cake board too but it was surprisingly straightforward and sets the cake of beautifully (in my opinion! lol)

Years ago, before I was interested in cake decorating, my Dad showed me some amazing handbag cakes in the newspaper, I never dreamt I’d be able to make my own one day. Yay! :D
