Hello nice people. Here’s my first carved cake. I came out of my comfort zone that is painting on cakes to do my first carved one. Ok I have carved that pirate ship last week out of Rice crispies treat. But carving sponge cake is totally different. And a very time consuming too. The heat here didn’t help either. It was 33 degrees celcius (91.5 Fht) these last 2 days.
It was for a little man, Kieron who celebrated his 8th birthday today. His mum asked for a 3D monkey cake cause he loves monkeys so much.
That sand is crushed biscuits. I tried something different from the usual light brown sugar. Oh the Monkey cake comes with matching cupcakes too. ;)
Thanks for watching
Love the cheeky monkey!! :))))))

OMG!!! Thank you ladies. Thank you Shannon, Laura, Bobbie and Laylah. Yes it has been difficult. Actually when they picked up the cake they returned it back after 30 mins. His arms broke. And I had to operate and fix him for another 30 mins. LOL… operating theater
oh no! poor monkey, glad you got him fixed :-)
