Wow…. This is defiantly going onto my Pimterest board of “Cakes that Imspire me” wow, Cecelia…. This IS a brown widow spider… They used to like living in the hosepipe and gate keyhole in South Africa xx you’re amazing!!!

Thanks both of you. Callie please can you tell me if this is true. I have read they are also actually the same species that people call a button spider. I read this on tech info but I never knew that I thought they were different.

Cecelia… Yes we also called it button spider but not strictly true… It’s a recluse spider (hence it hides in little places) but it is highly venomous. They are the same as a black widow, except brown… So I gather. :) fascinating little things and was never nervous of them as they never came indoors and tend to stay out the way xx

Ok, yes it is the same as the black widow but recluse are definitely different. I used to see button spiders but did not realise until now what they really were ha ha.
