This was a cake commissioned by a lady who wanted to combine a swathe of butteflies with quilting effect. The design was originally white with the butterflies in pink and silver, but the lady changed her mind to various pinks a few days before. Am off to deliver it later today.

All of the butterflies were handpainted and the only inedible bits were the silver “twigs” and the ribbon.
