This a cake I made to welcome everyone to my new cake page.
It is inspired by the wonderful art of Kara’s Couture Cakes, specifically her Black Tie Affair cake. I used the fabulous wafer paper ruffle tutorial by McGreevy Cakes.
I pulled out some fun wafer paper and as the cake progressed it reminded me more of a party dress, hence the name. The wafer paper flower is made using a combination of steam and piping gel to attach the petals to a center bud. Hope you like it.
