That was my Grandmother´s Birthday Cake, the Rose Cake. Allways at her birthday all family gathered at her home to party. She loved roses and her name was Rose, she wanted all of us to call her Mama Rosa, so I allways called her this way. It´s very emotive for me because it was her last birthday cake, in a month was going to be her birthday but she leaved us two months ago.
They were gumpaste roses and leafs. I wanted to be romantic, delicate and very natural, so there are roses opening and those with their petals falling down over the cake.
It was a strawberry cake with layers of cheese buttercream.

Julez, she kept some roses and leafs at home, in a glass cabinet at the living room. She was my biggest fan, so sweet… I´m glad you like it.
