Here’s another cake from a few years ago that I really liked so I wanted to post.

Funny story, my other “job” is I’m a cook at my mother’s little take-out restaurant…and one thing we make a lot of is cheeseburgers…So naturally getting a request for a “Bacon double cheeseburger” cake made me laugh. This cake with pretty darn fun to make though. I made the “burger patties” with chocolate cake mixed with a thick ganache, it gave them a mild “lumpy” consistency that hamburger has, and double bonus is they looked greasy! (score) After the cake was finished, my mom insisted that it needed to be plated with “potato chips” and a few “pickles” (she even made them for me) We then put it out right before my client came, to see people’s reactions…not a single person knew it was a cake (double score!) Needless to say it made my day ;]
