This huge carved sponge cake was a replica of Doug’s house in Barbados made for his 50th birthday. It was made on a 30" (3/4 metre) cake board. He also had models of himself as a toddler on his ride on double decker bus, as a teenager with his first car, and out the back him now relaxing in the pool. The characters were made oversized compared to the house as if they were to scale they would have been too small to appreciate
