I made this cake for a bridal boutique holding a Claire Pettibone trunk show. This cake was based on Claire’s ‘Papillon’ gown. The large white flowers are made from wafer paper and the smaller flowers are gum paste, as are the butterflies. I was going to add colour to some of the flowers and the butterflies but as I assembled it I liked the white on white.
