Made this cake for a BFF’s son’s 3rd birthday. The party was an “art” party at 4Cats studio. I thought it’s appropriate to make a art-related cake. The technique was using Lauren’s Kitchen Gravity-Defying Cake Design from Craftsy. It was my first time using modeling chocolate as a medium and I had fun making the modeling chocolate from scratch. The modeling chocolate was used to make the paint brush and the paint can handle. No breakage on the paint can handle… I painted the “paintbrush” using edible color dust+alcool.
The gloss on the “paint” was using the trick from Peggy Does Cake, using corn syrup/glucose+alcool… I put about 2 coats to make it very glossy
