This cake is unusual for me in that it was completely and utterly organised by the groom. I didn’t even meet the bride, who was getting stressed with wedding arrangements so her lovely fiance stepped up to the mark and sorted out the cake. I think he did pretty well, too! It’s my “maya” cake but with some very special additions, at Tom’s request. The ladybirds represent the bride and groom and the dragonfly represents Tom’s late grandfather. Nice touch, I think!
