Hello! You need to save it in a .png format if you want to send it as an image, otherwise save it as a .psp format (this one can only be open in Photoshop). You should click on “File>Save As…” Under the file name, there is a format file option. Click on it and look for the ones I told you before (I think what you need is the .PNG)
I hope it helps! :)

Thanks for reply, So if I save as png then the background will stay clear ?

I’m not using photoshop, but as TheOrangeLily said, you have to use format that supports transparent background.

Here is what I found:

Go to File menu from the menu bar. From the displayed menu, click the Save for Web option.

(Note: Adobe Photoshop 7 is used for this demonstration. If you have some other version of Adobe Photoshop, you might find Save for Web and Devices option or something similar to this in the File menu.)

On the opened Save for Web box, from the right section, click to select PNG-24 option from the Settings drop-down list.

Check the Transparency checkbox.

Finally click the Save button to save the image with the transparent background.

The saved image can now be used for webpages as it does not contain any white or black background whatsoever.

Michal was quicker than me. PNG are used for web because of their transparency and because it doesn´t diminish quality to the image.

Hi I am a graphic designer by profession… Use photoshop for everything… So once you have deleted the background save as PNG. But make sure you don’t have a background layer below and it should work perfectly fine.

Yes! Try saving it as a .png file and then open it with the photo viewer just like you would do with an image. You should be able to see only the image. With no background.

.gif aswell gives a transparent background but that depends if you can upload that format via email x
