Absolutely stunning Jacinta!!! I’m not sure where, but I HAVE seen the original, and as lovely as that was, yours is far and away the most beautiful version! I love the silver leaves and thanks for the shout out but I know you would have come up with them on your own because you have fabulous taste and an incredible eye for detail. LOVE it!! – you have to sing that last bit haha! :) xxxx

Oh, just gorgeous! love the silver dragees…did you apply them one by one, or by another method if you don’t mind me asking? The peony’s are fantastic as well!! Well done!

So fabulous! I too was wondering if you applied the dragees one by one?

Those dragees must have taken the patience of a saint to apply! Breathtaking result, well done

This cake is stunning! The dragees must’ve been the time consuming part you mentioned! :)

Wow guys! I just woke up to get your gorgeous comments and to see you’ve pushed my cake into the top 3. Thank you all so much. Talk about making my week. Shawna and Happy about the dragees I must admit I couldn’t find a faster method than trying to get a couple on at a time. I tried grabbing a small handful and pushing them on but then the gaps it left took longer to fill than if I’d done them individually. Also as I wasn’t covering the whole thing I had to be careful about where the top line fell. The best tips I were given (total common sense but something I wouldn’t have done on my own) was to work with the fondant as soon as I’d covered it and use just a little edible glue AND put a towel underneath the cake to help stop runaways. Thank you all so much for taking the time to look at my cake and for your lovely support x

Beautiful, stunning, amazing, classy….not enough adjectives to describe it!
I cannot imagine applying all those dragees….there must be an easier way than one by one….I’ve wondered about a ribbon of fondant and applying a thin layer of “glue”,in the ripple border wanted, having dragess in a flat pan…assorted sizes and lay the ribbon flat against the dragees and lift up…even if it got a good majority of dragees, it would save some time I’d think and just need touch up…has anyone tried this?
You did an awesome job on this cake.. The customer had to have been happy. Love the bling.

Lover the cake. I have ordered about $50 worth of silver dragee for a similar cake and noticed a warning on the side that they are not meant for consumption. Have you ever had issues with this? How did you apply them?
