Elephant model

Here is a quick tutorial for my patch elephant :)
I started off with 1lb modelling chocolate made myself using 1lb white chocolate and 7tbsps of golden syrup I leave this to set overnight to colour I used sugarflair kiwi and a touch of wilton kelly green.
Starting with the body I rolled a ball then placed a cake pop in and pushed the modelling choc up and in slightly to make a belly.
To do the legs I roll a ball then roll one end out thinner while using my other hand to shape the bigger end flat, I then attached to the body and did same process for the arms I did’nt need to use any glue.
For the head again I rolled out a ball and then used the same method to do the trunk its hard to explain I used one hand to keep the head round and rolled out one end for the trunk I did’nt do it to thinly though as I wanted it to hold up I attached the head on top of the body and then put in the fridge to harden up for 20mins.
For the ears I rolled out two balls and flattened with my hands making one side thicker so I could place a cocktail stick through I then placed these in the fridge.
After my elephant has hardened up a bit I take out. firstly I finished the ears using some yellow fondant pink flowers and orange balls I then attached to the head, I bent them a bit when on this is why I love modelling choc its so flexible!
Next I added yellow fondant to the bottom of the feet and arms again adding some flowers and dots.
I used two black balls of fondant for eyes and added some differant colour buttons for decorations. I used my plastic point stick tool to carve in the mouth.
