EASIEST Tree Bark Effect Tutorial Ever!

Hi Everyone, earlier last year I created a tutorial for an antique fondant effect, the tutorial has been one of my most successful tutorials. When I created this technique I realized it had a lot of potential for creating other effects, notably an easy tree bark effect. There are some great tutorials around at the moment that cover painted wood techniques, this is not a tutorial to replace those, in fact I highly recommend looking into those tutorials if you want to create wood panels. If you want to create a tree stump cake however, and you are looking for a super simple and realistic technique, this could be perfect for you!

I took the same principles and media used in my antique fondant tutorial and re-purposed and tailored this technique to create two different tree bark finishes. I do honestly believe this is one of the easiest and most inexpensive ways to achieve the tree bark look, that could be applied to a variety of cake projects and I wanted to share that with you here. I hope you enjoy the tutorial.

Here’s a link to the tutorial on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8pJvPVkEGc
