My famous FTMB, thats right, French Toast Maple Bacon. First and foremost you need bacon!!! For the love of Pete NOT bacon bits, you need bacon, from a pig not a turkey either….. Anyways, moving on.
Cupcake
1 1/2 Sticks Butter (room temp)
1/2 cup Milk
1cup Sugar
1 1/2 cups Flour
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 tablespoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Nutmeg
Put all these ingredients in a bowl and mix ingredients with a mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes. Seriously, yes mix it all together. ;)
Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full and bake at 350° for approximately 15 minutes.
Yields 15-16 cupcakes
You will need half pound of Bacon. Cook it up, fry or bake what ever you do. Maybe a full pound cause you know your going to eat some of it during all the prep. It’s cool, I won’t judge….
Buttercream Ingredients:
1/2 cup High Ratio Shortening
1/2 cup butter (room temp)
4-5 tablespoons Watkins Maple Extract
4 cups sifted powder sugar
2 tablespoons milk
In large bowl, cream shortening and butter with electric mixer on medium speed. Add maple extract and milk. Gradually add powder sugar, one cup at a time, beating on a slow speed. Scrape the sides and bottom of bowl often. Mix until all incorporated and smooth. Fill pastry bag with a 1m tip.
With your cupcakes now cooled, pipe a generous amount of icing onto the cupcake and add crumbled Bacon. Grab a glass of milk, couple of cupcakes, devour and call it a day, you earned it.
Enjoy and happy baking.

Thanks a lot cassandra!!! Can you quantify the butter in grams or cups please? We do not get butter in sticks here like you do in the US.
