3D cloud cake - little tutorial

Hello everyone,

The specification of my child was very simple: colorful and with a rainbow.
Certainly I could have finished a simple design with rainbow colors and some clouds on it. But since I had the idea to try my hand at a 3D cake again, I have chosen a cloud shape, visit the a rainbow and colorful balloons place.
As a basis a Styrofoam plate served, which I already in my Boba Fett heltmcake have used. Therefore, the remains of Styrofoam glue, which can be seen on the board covered up.
As column for the cake I glued two polystyrene cylinders to each other and fixed on a small cake board.
Of course, I would have the cloud can produce from cakes overall, but it just would have been too much of the cake amount ago. So that the base gets a cloud shape that I could clothe with fondant, I’ve touched a Ricecrispie mass with marshmallows and ricecrispies and respectively attached to the column and bottom of cake boards.
After both were glued together, I have the lower part of the base with ricecrispie mass disguised.
This was followed by coverslipping crispie mass with fondant.
All cake clean on the base, I cut me a piece of cardboard and dressed with aluminum foil. Recently I have also dressed the cake with fondant.
The rainbow is made of individual, self-colored flowers paste strands, as the balloon.
The captive balloon was a real challenge. The balloon itself is hollow from inside and consists Waferpaper. The basket and the strands are made entirely of gum paste.
