Tool review 3 & BARGAIN ALERT (UK)

Hi all,

Anyone here been longing for a Kitchen Aid but unable to justify the price? That was me 3 months ago until I bought this. Its an all-metal, head tilting, massively powerful KA style mixer with the whip, hook & paddle attachments, that also takes both KA Artisan attachments and the New Metro Design beater blade (I personally bought both types but ended up returning the KA flex beater because I preferred the other). Ive used this now to make cakes and smbc, its easy to clean and ive had it running for 10 mins while whipping that meringue without an issue. I love it! And the best part?

It was £150 when I bought it, but now only £120! And the pasta roller attachment I just bought today at 75% off for a bargainous £10! (I’ve yet to try it though) it also has a 2 year warranty so I don’t see a down side :) if you’re still unsure there are some online reviews too (Google it) if you want a second opinion.

Anyone who’s been waiting to get a new mixer, nows your chance. Head down to Sainsbury’s and grab one of these :)

Hope that’s useful information!
Best wishes,
Sawsen xx

Ooo wonder if the pasta attachment is quite universal .. for £10 I’ll go find out and see if it fits the Kenwood … Thanks for the nod Sawsen !!! xx

No problem & good luck Lou!

Ok, quickie update … so I bought the pasta attachment this morning just to see if it would indeed fit the Kenwood, and nope, boooo, however, looks a nice large and sturdy piece of kit for £10 ! Ah well, back to my Amazon basket it is then … ;)

That looks very much like the one I bought from Wilcos (about £80 i think). It is ok but the whisk doesnt reach the sides or bottom of the bowl so I have to scrape down a lot. Does that happen with this Sainsburys one? x

Ah shame to hear that Lou… Julia, no it doesn’t but you need to adjust it in a way that’s not actually mentioned in the manual, but I managed to figure it out from the beaterblade instructions. Tilt the head back and you see a large adjustment screw. Turn it one way to lower the blade or whisk, the other to raise. You need to test with something like soft butter so you can see when it’s low enough. I then drew alignment marks on the screw and surrounding housing to remind me the best position for whisk and beater. If you need a pic let me know. Hope that helps! Xx
