Tool Review - Dresden Tool

Some call it the dresden tool, others call it the leaf and veining tool, I just think its great. This little piece of plastic is so versatile and can be used for many different aspects of cake decorating. I find it great for modelling figures, especially hair, creases in the clothing and lines where arms or legs bend. It is great for creating lines and patterns on a cake where you want to add texture but you have to be brave to try this straight onto a cake!! It is perfect for curling up petals on small daisy-like flowers and for veining leaves. These are just a few ways I use mine but there are endless uses. As it is double ended there are even more ways you can utilise this tool. Everyone should have one!

I agree! I didn’t realise why everyone loves it until I made my first sculpted cake just recently, and the lightbulb came on! I was like… Wow, this thing is like the holy grail! Haha! Xx

Love mine too. Unfortunately I recently broke one of the end so I have to buy another.

Yup…..Me too…one of my fav’s.
