Followers and following

Well eve I must agree..i love being on here not only to share but more so to learn.. It’s definitely a great place to do so with so many wonderful talented artists sharing their amazing tutorials..😃 I will say tho I have followed you for sometime and I never received a follow back but I still enjoy seeing all of your beautiful cakes.

Like you I love this site. What I don’t understand is your point on following or followers. I truly enjoy looking at everyone’s cakes no matter who they belong to. I try to comment on as many as I can each & every day. I don’t keep track of who is following me nor do I remember who I am following. Never even thought about it. Hope I haven’t offended anyone that I am not following but since I’m on here all the time I very rarely miss a cake. As a matter of fact, I find it easier to go page by page instead of jumping around from the notifications.

Goreti I agree with you. I just go page to page commenting on any cake that jumpes out at me not always following. However in the very beginning, before I got the hang of it I thought following and flowers were important, I figured that the people who had hundreds of follows and followed no one must be far too busy to worry about it. I do think they possibly miss a lot of great cakes as they would not get any notifications when new cakes come on. I wouldn’t worry about it Eve, as long as we enjoy it and get what we want it of it, that is all that is important :) x

I agree with you girls maybe it is not so important..I thought to get place on magic 15 must have followers and comments…I guess it is not completely right

I tend to look at latest cakes and again comment on any that really jump out and appeal to me. There are certain styles that I really love, I love clean lines, uncluttered and pretty cakes. I think that way I discover decorators whose work is new to me and who I follow with interest in order to see their future creations.

I too love this site. So many great cakes and great inspiration. Great ways to learn too with blog posts and tutorials. I usually go through my notifications daily, then browse page by page looking and commenting on cakes that interest me. As far as “followers/following”, just checked my profile, and I follow more members than are following me. I really don’t keep track or pay attention to that. If you try and comment on many others cake pics, most will return in kind. I love reading all the kind comments on my cakes…. ❤️

i normally comment from the main page :) if You have a cake that pops out at me that is were I go .. I don’t always know who made them until I look .. it is all about the cake the composition. the colors, sculptures , flowers.. and new styles .. I wish I had time to comment on all the cakes , because they are all wonderful ,but I just don’t have the time :( so I try to comment on the ones that pops out at me … just not enough hours in the day <3 <3

Hi Eve, I love Cakes Decor for the inspiration and support from everyone. It is a lovely safe place to show off your cakes without fear of judgement or nasty comments. I always look out for cakes that haven’t had many or any comments and leave a message because I know how frustrating it can be not to get feedback especially when it helps motivate and inspire you.This page has helped my skills improve through the roof because I learn from others and everyone is so open with explaining their techniques and ideas. Enjoy it Eve and everyone will catch on to your enthusiasm and love your work like I do xxx
