IF YOU ARE GOING TO COPY MY PICTORIAL TO CREATE A SEATED FROG LIKE THIS, PLEASE GIVE CREDIT TO MY PAGE, BECAUSE I HAVE COME UP WITH THIS DESIGN AND THESE STEPS TO HELP OTHERS. EACH PHOTO IS COPYRIGHTED WITH MY NAME ON IT. THANK YOU.
I used two medium sized fondant balls, rolled out one half/side thinner slightly than the other side; which I also tapered at its end, to fold in under to make the frog’s legs, as shown.
Bend the ends to make the frog’s knees and gently pinch it to give it a flat, thinner appearance; also gently press down the other end that will stick underneath the frog’s body.
I used two medium balls, rolled them gently to shape them into arms and cut one side into the frog’s hands.
Roll two small balls and taper one end then gently flatten it slightly, also use any flat, sharp fondant tool to cut the frog’s feet.
I used a larger piece of fondant for the main body of the frog but decided to make him look like he was leaning sideways; so after rolling his body, I used my pinky finger to narrow the neck area; I used my thumb and forefinger to pinch the forehead and nose. I used a small ball tool to open up the mouth.
After attaching the legs but before attaching the arms (using small dabs of water), I attached the tummy and shaped it up to the lower lip.
I used small dabs of water to attach the limbs to the main body..
I used two tiny blue balls slightly flattened to make the eyes, but you make them any color you want.
After shaping the eyes and upper lid, I used two tiny brown balls slightly rolled and into the corner ends of the mouth to give the appearance of shadow (darken the mouth).
Finally, I added some white fondant and shaped it into the frog’s teeth as well as adding some brown spots on his legs and back. In the end, I added some brown shading and then some light green shimmer.
Sorry about all the poor quality photos, but I didn’t have my camera with me so I used my cell phone.
