Every year I try to do something different with my Christmas tree. I must admit I do have a bit of an addiction when it comes to decorating for Christmas. I’m not really sure why or how it happened, but every year I change up the ornaments on the tree, pick a different style, a different color scheme, etc. Needless to say, we have run out of storage space in the house, so this year my husband wanted me to either use the ornaments I already had (gasp! the horror!) or come up with an idea that didn’t involve any more storage.
So………. after watching Julia Usher’s amazing videos on 3D Christmas ornaments (here) I was determined to make them. Well, it didn’t go as planned. I’m saving those for next year after I have some more practice.
BUT
I stuck to the cookie ornament idea. I used Julia’s amazing gingerbread cookie dough recipe that does not spread at all and let my imagination run wild with the collection of Christmas cookies I had amassed.
And so my edible cookie ornaments on my tree were born. Hope you all enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them!
