number of likes or messages, or what?

I forget how things are weighted but I know it is a combination of views, faves and comments on the cake that determine which will be in the top 15 for a 24 hour period.
If I remember correctly comments you make on your piece a weighted lower than comments by someone else.
Hopefully that answers your questions and if not hopefully Michal will see this post and give a better answer :)

Personally I don’t think it matters! I just love this site and how friendly and helpful it is. The top 15 are always a lovely sample and showcase a great range of talent. However it is done it seems to work and I guess if it was fully revealed it may be open to abuse.

It’s all there in Selma’ s link but Judy you’re spot on. It’s a secret formula so not open to abuse, believe it or not the old system was ‘played’ by some apparently. I believe it’s a combination of all the elements you mention. Sometimes it seems very strange that someone with more 💗s is further down the list but it’s to give those with less followers more of a chance.

I can say that the new formula before we were often in the top 15 and we only had 6 followers … then when the mode is changed obviously we have not arrived …
I also add that with the increase of followers but also the quality of the cakes we go again! thanks to all … Xxx
