Watercolor Painting to Stained Glass Cake

Watercolor Painting to Stained Glass Cake

I have not been taking cake orders since a couple of months ago to take a short break and focus on work and family matters , but since the SuperTyphoon Haiyan aka Yolanda devasted my country, the Philippines, I accepted small cake orders just to be able for me to raise a certain amount to send as my share of help.

This is 2001 watercolor painting by my friend’s mom, that was all she gave me to think of a design for her Mom’s birthday cake.. Thanks to good friends Val&Chris, the lovely filipina gals of Queen of Hearts Couture Cakes, I got inspired and thought that their stained glass technique was a good take for the cake. Dedicated to my Kababayan, the Filipino People..

thank you very much!… although Iam a thousand miles away from my mother country, my heart stays with them, even with a small amount that i have donated , I hope to help even a soul or two survive a day of hunger and thirst… a little help and a prayer will make my fellow filipino rise above these trouble times…
