This brought me so much joy… a cake for an elderly gentleman retired artist… he loves Vermeer hence I chose to hand-paint his “Girl with the Pearl Earring” onto icing, so all edible. the frame I made from scratch as well as easel and the artists box is the cake.. I also made the brushes and pallet and paints from sugarpaste as well.

I have added the step by step of how I did my hand-painting of the Vermeer :)

this was so well received and it came right from my soul when I created this for him… an honour from one artist to another :)
