This Prada Shoe was for a surprise party (don’t you just love surprises!). I heard there were lots of happy tears on the night! A vanilla cake with zesty lemon buttercream filling and coated in vanilla buttercream and fondant.
I hand-painted the logo and the tissue paper was all edible. I must acknowledge the wonderful help I received from a dear friend of mine (Anita from La La Cakes), who was my extra pair of hands which were needed to put on the top of the shoe (which was one single piece of gumpaste). Anita and I work together all the time, and are each others’ sounding boards when it comes to, ’how do I turn that into cake"? This cake was gluten free, lactose free, fructose friendly, and caffeine free.
