“Cuddling her toy giraffe with one arm and with her other hand on the edge of the cake , this mischievous baby girl attempts to push herself up into a standing position in order to have a better view of the rubber ducky on top. Little does she know that the cake is a soft and moist chocolate cake and it starts to tilt. Oh dear! It’s falling, falling… and the water is spilling over!”

Made this two tiered topsy turvy “bath time & bubbles” themed cake for one year old Ji Yu’s birthday bash some time in August. It features the 3D sugar figurines of a “Cute Baby Girl” with a miniature 3D sugar replica of Ji Yu’s “Sophie Giraffe” chewy toy and a “Rubber Ducky”.

Initially, I was concerned that the cake would appear ‘washed out’ as the client insisted that the cake and everything on it to be in soft pastel colors but at the end of the day, I think this pastel look has its appeal too!
