Here are two identical 8" cakes I did for my two lovely aunts who both turned 80 and we had a lovely celebration day a few weeks ago. The cakes are Lemon Madeira with yummy lemon curd buttercream filling. The roses are handmade and the butterflies I made with royal icing. I used cake lace around the edge. it was such a happy day shared with my wonderful relatives.
