My client requested a cake to celebrate her mom’s 70th birthday. She said the colors will be coral and cream and a beach nostalgic theme. I didn’t want to do a literal beach theme so instead I used inspired beach images like a sunburst (again, using Jessica Harris’ wax paper transfer technique) which I made from a template I found through google search, umbrellas made of gumpaste, and a wave of ombre coral ruffles on the bottom tier. I love how it turned out and it represents my style of artistry. I love having creative freedom. I hope you like. Thanks for looking.

I adore it! Not the literal beach theme, but you sure do get a beach feeling with the waves, sunburst, and beach umbrellas!! I’ll bet the client adored it too!
