My favourite cake to date. I was given a picture of a drawing by Amy Brown and asked to model a gumpaste topper, which could be kept as a keepsake, for a birthday cake.
The cake is modelled like a tree stump and then airbrushed. All the mushrooms and flowers are made from gumpaste too. The woodland style cake was inspired by a project I did in class with the super talented Sharon Wee, the modelled/piped foxgloves were inspired by the wonderful work of Steel Penny Cakes and her recent Beatrix Potter Cake.
