This friendly fella was a bit of a monster at well over a foot tall – he is my largest (well, tallest) novelty cake yet! All mud cake with white chocolate buttercream, fondant and gumpaste detailing. The head is a carved styro core with modelling chocolate and again, fondant and gumpaste details. Royal icing grass. You can see a progress pic album on my facebook page. His image was inspired from some wrapping paper, although the bow was a last minute addition to cover up the modelling chocolate that secured the dowel running from his head to his body. A happy accident I think!
