I was asked to provide a cake for a bridal shoot at Blenheim Palace so I knew the cake had to be fitting for the splendour of its surroundings. The four tier ivory cake was finished with pale champagne ribbon and a lace overlay, with a large ribbon and brooch around the 2nd tier. Sugar flowers such as Sweet Avalanche Roses, blush peonies, hydrangeas and eucalyptus sprays were arranged at various positions around the cake and patches of white lace pipe work were on 2 of the tiers. It fit perfectly with the ambience of Blenheim’s Orangery. Credit Jen Marino photography
