Peonies Cutting Cake

Here is a very simple royal iced, rich and boozy mature fruit cake I did as a cutting caked at my son’s special intimate wedding gathering a few weeks ago.

The peonies & eucalyptus I made from sugar paste. It was such a joyous special and happy day for us all and I am so delighted to see my son so happy with this wonderful lady …a much loved family member now :) ….

I worked so hard to get my royal iced edges reasonably sharp as royal icing is still a relatively new area for me. I made my own marzipan too.

Stunning, stunning peonies and the eucalyptus leaves remind me of my childhood. I would kill for my edges to be as straight as those :)
