This is another cake that I have designed to try and add a touch of colour and variation to my wedding fayre collection.
I have mailed the people at Cakeface a couple of times now to ask them how they make their scrunch roses (being as I have no hope of getting to Australia to take one of their classes) but unfortunately they have never responded. So I have devised my own method, and to be honest they look no different to theirs, so I’m rather happy.
I also wanted to get some practice in with covering a tall cake, and the only issue i have is that to spray paint the finish needs to be faultless otherwise any tiny little line becomes enhanced by the paint, which is rather difficult on a 6" tall 5" round top tier!
I don’t usually add folliage to my flowers but today i decided to go for a change and I steamed the leaves after and the shine was really pretty.
Hope you are all enjoying your week xx
