Perfect little cookies! Goodness, you sure can pipe a straight line. I tried piping on a cookie, and it was just a wiggly mess! You must not drink coffee!!

I’d love to be able to do work in royal icing but can never het it really smooth. These are amazing. Is there any secret to really smooth royal icing? x
Thanks Lizzie! I think the secret is to flood the cookie with just enough icing so that it looks “puffy”, however you have to be careful not to put too much so that it overflows. When I teach cookie decorating classes, my students are reluctant to pour enough icing onto the cookie. When they try to spread it around, because it is such a thin layer of icing, you see the spatula marks and it looks uneven. If you use enough icing, those marks will flatten and smooth out on their own. Hope this helps!
