The Swiss / Turkish couple commissioned me to create their wedding cake. They wanted to be surprised and gave me a free hand.
After some brainstorming I had Turkish tiles in mind and developed a pattern in blue (Illustrator). On top I placed the hand of Fatima (a symbol to protect from the evil eye) with the initials of the couple.
Pattern was printed on sugarsheets, flowers are made of sugarpaste with accents in silver, inside each tier are four alternating layers of chocolate fudge and English macadamia carrot cake and a dark chocolate Ganache infused with Chai Tea herb mixture.
