As part of Portugal Wonders in Sugar Collaboration, kindly hosted by Elisabete Caseiro, I’d like to show you my piece, representing “Fado”

As a Country full of Heritage, Traditional Music “Fado” and the Portuguese Guitar go side by side and are famous all over the world. With my piece, inspired by the famous Portuguese Painter “José Malhôa”, I took an approach on painting with edible oil paints. I’m not a Painter, it’s my first approach on such technique, but really loved the challenge, specially the faces, which are smaller than my nail.
The guitar, hands and half the sleeve are pipped into the cookie. The remain cookie is painted directly into a royal icing flooded cookie.
