For the Dark Mermaids Collaboration I decided to represent a melancholy white Mermaid, in the depths of the abyss…
Solitary, she recognizes herself in other marine creatures that surround her: the jellyfish.
Just like her, in fact, they are as fascinating and admired as feared. They are both apparently so delicate creatures, hypnotic in appearance, colours and graceful movements.
But they hide at the same time a power that can become lethal, to defend themselves from dangers and predators and to paralyze and capture their prey.
The materials used for this piece are: modeling and covering paste Saracino, Artgel flexible paste, gelatin sheets, rice paper, food powders and gel food coloring.
