Chocolate Dragon

I have a thing about dragons and have been wanting to make one for a while. I started this one in lock down and have just finished it. I have to admit im in love with him, hes been so much fun to make. He certainly gave me something else to think about during the long days of being at home.

The dragon is made from chocolate and fondant mix. The rocks are made from modelling chocolate for stability. The wings are made from rice paper. I made a mix of gelatin and glycerin and painted it onto the wings and left to dry. This made the wings more flesh like and then i airbrushed them.
The drool i used the same glycerin and gelatin mix, it worked so well!. I did try piping gel but it did nt set as well.

Im a bit sad ive finished making him but i will definitely make another much smaller one!

xx
