Made this cake for my BFF’s birthday. She loves gardening. Her son told me they were giving her a celebration at a venue and he wanted a flower pot cake he saw on the internet. First time making a flowerpot cake. Followed a tutorial on line where you bake the cake in an actual terra cotta flowerpot. This is what i came up with. Made all the flowers out of gum paste as well as the gloves the seed packet and the little shovel. At the last minute I remembered she loves ladybugs so I made one and put it on the cake.
The cake is a 12inch yellow cake and the flower pot is a lemon cake both covered in fondant.
