This is my contribution to the amazing cake collaboration “Dali in Sugar” hosted by the
Elisabete Caseiro!
Love sculpting so I choose one of Dali art work- entitled bust from 1964 of the famous Italian poet Dante Alighieri. Sculpture shows three different views of Dante at once. Two profiles of the statue present different interpretations of the personality of Dante, the group of golden spoons entwined about the head are symbols of Gnosticism, a philosophy antithetical to the two basic Christian doctrines of salvation, faith and good works. My piece was created using Saracino modelling chocolate and Saracino modelling paste.
