I loved I finally got a chance to do something so untraditional for a wedding! It’s a 4 tiered cake serving over 100. The bottom tier is a tree stump where I used silk flowers and moss. The next 3 tiers j used a marbled affect and added the geode using rock candy that I painted once it was all in place. The dragon was sculpted from modeling Chocolate by Hot Hands and the wings I created using a wire that I molded and I piped cake lace onto parchment paper that I adhered to the wired wings. That was the most stressful part. I got my inspiration from The Buttered End in LA. She posted a video of her making a dragon cake and that visual of her making the wings really helped me. I knew I was going to use sugar lace but I never thought about piping it on paper first. Genius!! I also used Isomalt to make the eyes.
