This was a really fun birthday cake for a Beyonce themed birthday party. The birthday girl dressed in a similar costume and matched the cake.
I used a lot of different techniques, a few that were new to me, including a pastillage crown, hand pulled cotton candy for the hair, cake lace, wafer paper collar and candy jewels plus hand painted face. She had a few tricky moments but I got there in the end.
