Made for an engagement celebration, this was a vanilla sour cream cake that was filled with raspberry compote and vanilla buttercream, then decorated using Satin Ice fondant, Americolors and various edible powders. Since I had free reign on the cake design, I chose the seagulls from the movie Nemo as the inspiration for this cake; “Mine! Mine! Mine!” The bottom tier represents the sea, the middle tier represents the waves washing up on the beach and the top tier represent the sky. There’s a silver anchor, a silver star fish, a silver clam shell and a Silver Dollar :) Congratulations to the happy couple!
