This is my entry for the most creative cake section in this year Sydney Royal Easter show competition. I wanted an unusual Unicorn and therefore decided to use quilling method. This contrast with the sleeping baby unicorn which is made using the bas relief method. The top cake is then completed with painted fairies, butterflies and flowers. The bottom cake is cut and shaped so that top cake can sit comfortably. The bottom cake is decorated with huge bouquet of flowers, quilled pieces and piped fuchsia flowers.
