The cake I made for this years annual crab feed fundraiser for the Rainbow Community Center. The original design belongs to Sandrascakes.com. The whale is my take on a Ron Ben-Israel design. After 13 years of doing these for this event I have kind of run out of my own idea for design. The whale is made of Rice Krispie Treats covered in fondant. The rope reel is a styrofoam dummy with a cake drums for the top and bottom. Ropes are fondant pushed through a clay extruder. Crab and anchor are gumpaste. It will be auctioned off tonight and the money will go to the center. Hope it brings in some big $$$.
