As my daughter Norah turned six she wanted to have a barbie themed birthday party and i came up with this cake design for her as i didn’t want to follow the traditional barbie themed cakes (placing a real barbie on the cake and decorating the dress). But that was my little daughter had in her mind and it was indeed hard to convince her to try for a different design and we made a deal that i will make a customized barbie, something close looking like her with fondant and she gets to design how the dress needs to be and only and only if she likes it i will put it as a topper for the cake, otherwise we will go with the original barbie as the topper for the cake. Thankfully i got to please my little client and she loved it. She was the most difficult and the sweetest client i ever had to deal with :) .
